our mission and goals
- We intend to take our vision and create a full master plan design space for more than just a playground. Our master site plan would include many amenities for adults and children while operating in an Opportunity underserved community. From playgrounds to walking trails and having accessibility to purchase healthy foods. We will also work with local municipalities, churches, colleges, corporations, municipalities and paid interns, and most of all volunteers.2 or 3 Gathered Together
multipurpose parks developed in underutilized communities
Investments towards these parks:• Addresses inequality through healthy initiatives• Promotes racial equality through building relationships• Creates economic opportunities through workforce development• Fosters friendships through partnerships• Provides support for minority-owned small business entrepreneurs• Encourages collaboration by engaging with other corporations, nonprofits, and community leaders.
We realized that kids are fascinated by computers/games and technological gizmos. Unfortunately, while electronics are fascinating, the lack of exercise is not good since it leads to obesity. We see our kids vegetate in front of TVs and electronic games. We wanted to know how we could take that (electronics) outdoors onto the playground. We have found that it gets kids excited, involved and they get a lot of exercises as well as developing much-needed motor skills”
